In football today, spending heavily on buying players is equivalent to winning trophy, playing world class football and matching any opponent toe to toe. We have seen that trend in big teams in the premier league like Manchester city, Chelsea and Liverpool. This trio are yet to lose a game in the premier league this season. That’s money well spent. One will want to argue that fulham budget is far lower than the that of the teams I just mention, yes you’re correct but let go a little lower. Let’s look at the likes of Bournemouth, Watford and Everton. At least this can be comparable if you agree with me.
In the just concluded transfer window fulham bought over a dozens of players including a €30m for Andre zambo Anguissa from Olympic de marsille in August. But is unfortunate that they still find their selves struggling to win games in the premier league. Currently sitting twentieth in the premier league table, winning just one game after twelve matches played and losing a whopping 9 matches. The gnashing of teeth continues for fulham football club.
Last outing;
The west London club travelled to Anfield to continue their search for a revival, after a one nil defeat against Hundersfield during the week makes it six straight defeats. You couldn't expect anything much from the cottagers who has picked just one point away from craven cattagers this season out of the possible 18, with an average rate of 2.63goals conceeded per game fulham could be heading for over a 100 conceeded in the 38 premiere league games this season.
Liverpool fielded a strong side,their power front line of Roberto Firmino, salah, mane and shaqiri. Joe Gomez and fabinho also came into the starting XI. Meanwhile fulham were without Jean Michael Seri, Luciano Vietto and Timothy Fosu-Mensah. And Cyrus Christie, Alfie Mawson and Calum Chambers entered the lineup. Liverpool controlled the pace of the game and it was not too long when shaqiri came close in the 13th minute, but his shot from the edge of the box was dragged wide and moments later it was the wonderful legs of Sergio Rico to stop Salah's close range effort. Fulham had a couple of chances but none materialize into a goal. The magic moment ceme in the 41 minutes, Mitrovic nodded home Tom Cairney cross but it was ruled offside. Fulham went to sleep for a few seconds still taking the shock of the disallowed goal, Liverpool made a quick connection between goal keeper Allison, he passed the ball to Alexander-Arnold on the right flank who found Salah in space, the Egyptian ran into the Fulham box and slotted a cool finish to get his sixth goal of the season. It ended 1 nil at half time.
Second half began and Liverpool didn't waste anytime to seal the 3 points, 53rd minutes. Robertson cross found shaqiri in front of Fulham goal who was completely unmarked, he tapped in an easy finish and left Fulham to lick their woounds, making it seven defeats in a row for Fulham. The cottagers broad style of play has proved unsuccessful in the premiere, even after spending a whopping £100m on players in the summer. Coah Jokanovic defence still remains a problem, conceding 31 goals from their first 12 league games this season.

What's next for the cottagers
Fulham have acquired the service of former Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri, who led Leicester to their Premieir league victory in 2016. And the Entire fulham management/staff and fans will be hoping that the new manager can overhaul their current situation.
