Real Madrid hosted Valencia at the Berna beu, a week after a humiliating three nil defeat against Eibar which is still fresh in their memory. But once again coach solari's team showed quality to beat Valencia 2:0 on Saturday. An own goal from Valencia right-back Wass and an 83-minute goal from Lucas Vasquez was enough to give Madrid all three points.

Real Madrid who lost their first game under New coach Solari away at Eiber last week, after weeks of him managing the club as an interim coach. Since the loss, solari has parried his team to back to back victories, a convincing 2-0 win in the champions league away at Roma and a much-needed victory at home against Valencia on Saturday.

Real Madrid quick dominance of the game paid off immediately, Dani Carvajal cross just a yards from the right of the Valencia goal finds the head of Daniel wass, whose attempt to head the boy away accidentally heads it pass goalkeeper Neto from close range and Madrid were already one-nil up just seven and half minutes into the game.

Gareth should have made it 2 nil for the host before half time but his shot down the middle of the goal finds the hands of Neto who dealt with it very well do deny Bale from scoring. The First half ended 1-0 in favour of Real Madrid. Valencia had two great chances in the second half to score but were unable to convert their chances, Santi mina who could have levelled the game for Valencia in the 53 minutes after a pacing run into Madrid's box shoots the ball over the goal, Gabriel Paulista also came close to scoring but his effort was wide from goal.

At the 83-minutes, it was lucas Vasquez who seals the victory for Real Madrid. Benzema finds the Spaniard in front of Valencia's goal unmarked who didn't waste time to send the ball pass Neto who was helpless in that situation.

Santiago Solari has now guided Madrid to 6 wins in 7 seven games, this puts them in fifth position in the league table and 3 point's away from league leaders Sevilla who has a game to play. With the way, things are going Solari will be looking to match Real Madrid to another title win in a season that almost looked like a dead end. Madrid next game will be at home in four days time against UD Melilla for a Copa del Rey showdown.
