Let's take a look at the happenings inside the Emirate stadium, as we all know club football resumes this weekend after a week of international games. The gunners will be expecting to pick up from where they stopped, a resounding 16 games unbeaten run in all competitions after a consecutive two league defeats to league leaders Manchester City and fellow London side Chelsea early in the season. Coach Unai Emery has told the board that he has started an Era in the club and he seeks to return the club to European top competition (champions league). The season the Spanish coach is gunning for the premier league and the Europa league, though he confessed is not an easy task but is achievable and he believes every competition are important and will not be taking the other two domestic cups (FA cup and EFL) for granted.

In his press conference on Thursday he said "we want to convey energy and hunger," Emery is here to win and not for mere participation.

ARSENAL SEASON THUS FAR

Arsenal are currently in fifth in the league table, three points behind their London rivals Tottenham (27), Arsenal have now played 4 draws in the last five matches including and Europa league draw at home to Portuguese side sporting CP. Henrikh Mkhitaryan 86 goal against wolverhampton on match-day 12 to help secure the gunners a much-needed draw to keep their unbeaten run alive. One part Unai Emery should be concerned about when the transfer windows open in january should be his defense, so far Arsenal has conceded a whopping 15 goals and scoring 26.

Unai Emerys men has qualified for the next round of the Europa league with 10 points after and will be playing the remaining group games for who tops the group.

He suffered an ankle injury during the Europa league game against Sporting cp at the Emirates stadium, and have undergone surgery, this is a huge setback for the gunners because Welbeck has been a vital force for them in the Europa league and his absence might force the gunners to make a January swoop for a new forward. Welbecks contacts end in the summer and with no renewal yet in sight the gunners will be looking somewhere else. Reports claims that Arsenal interested in Boca Juniors stud Cristian Pavon and Lille goal machine Nicolas Pepe.
