The latest information about this tragedy is that the divers reached the wreck of the plane that the Argentinian footballer was flying. It is located at a depth of 63 metres near the English Channel. In addition, a body was found inside, but at this moment it is not known whether it is the corpse of the pilot or the contestant himself. The private aircraft on which Emiliano Sala was on board, together with the pilot David Ibbotson, disappeared on 21 January. A 28-year-old flew from Nantes to Cardiff to sign a contract with a new club.

The head of the rescue operation revealed that a massacred body was found in the wreck. The search action was possible thanks to the closest player. It was they who carried out an online collection, thanks to which it was possible to rent a private company with the most modern equipment. A total of £324,000 was raised and many players, such as Kylian Mbappe and Adrien Rabiot, joined the action. Experts can be sure that this is exactly the same machine that Emiliano travelled.

After seeing this plane for the first time, the Argentinean was aware that it did not look good. Moments before the tragedy, he contacted his friends by sending messages with such content:

I'm in an airplane and it looks as if it's about to fall apart. If within an hour and a half you don't get a signal from me. . . . I don't know if they'll send someone to find me. . . . Dad, I'm so afraid. . .

Sala was flying to Cardiff for its dream contract. He was to start his adventure in the Premier League. This young striker was supposed to help his new club in the struggle for subsistence. Unfortunately, he suffered a huge catastrophe. It can be very difficult to explain the causes of this tragedy. The room was flying in a very small airplane, which was not equipped with a flight recorder or black boxes. The course of events can only be determined after damage to the machine.
