The premier will start soonest and lots of people are gingered for it already for the season. For most people, it is just about the fun of watching the best league in the world and be being part of the journey as the season goes to a close also. For some, it's about the fantasy premier league as they are not even a fan of any English league teams but the game offers them an exciting way to be among of the many lots who enjoy the premier league.
We already have a new community shield winner as Leicester City came out victorious on Sunday over Manchester City in a thrilling and exciting game in which the results still shocks many. The rest of the titles ups for grabs are down to three: the premier league title, FA Cup, and Capital One. This post is just to highlight the teams which are likely to come out on top come the ending of each of the tournaments but first, walk with me as I evaluate some football clubs.
They are the teams to beat starting with Manchester City, who has been one of the best sides in the league for quite some time and with the resources available at their disposal. This season, they have strengthened their side by buying Grealish, thereby making their squad even much stronger than it used to be.
With the signing of Lukaku from inter Milan, Chelsea has managed to fix one key area in which they were lacking last season and now they stand a better chance of winning any tournament they are competing in. the supposed strikers which were supposed to perform last year failed to deliver that and that’s what makes a Lukaku a great feat as he has proven to be a great goal scorer in all the teams he has played for.
For Liverpool, the story is different as they haven’t signed a marquee or headline-grabbing player but their squad is still filled with talented stars. One of the major reasons for the group downfall last season was because they had lots of injuries and that disrupted the team severely. They will be looking to avoid a scenario like that this season but with Robertson getting injured with just a few days to the league opening, it should serve as a major call for concern for the team.
Signing Ben white for 50 million was arsenal making a big statement to all teams that they could splash the cash too and of course compete for titles. While ben white will off course make things tighter at the back for Arsenal, the team still lacks in lots of areas and just one signing won't do the magic for them. They still need to get their striker firing or replace them with another while the midfield has to be put up a united front display each time they line out for a match to stand a chance of not going trophyless also this season.
Manchester United has been one of the most active teams in the premier league and that is a result of them losing a title that they should have won. They have made jaw-dropping signings and they are still looking t close more deals before the transfer window closes. While Varane and Maguire pairing will make their team much tighter at the back, the mix of Sancho, Fernadez, greenwood, Cavani, Rashford will surely cause a lot of oppositions problem.
Tottenham remains in search of a first title for years and their new coach won't guarantee that has he hasn’t won a trophy for himself since coming to the premier league. That records might likely continue as Spurs star man sees his future of lifting a trophy totalling not possible at the club and he might want to find that at clubs who have proven to be serial winners. He failed to show up at training the other day and that was a real mess as it puts both the player and the team in a very difficult position.
While Leicester might have narrowly missed out on a champions league football, they of course still possess a lot of firewall at their disposal and that’s one thing that led them to win two trophies at a stretch. After making good recruitment during this current transfer market, Fox might offer to be a more competitive team and will likely dish out shocker results in fixtures as the league commences soon.
Having all this in mind, I see Machester city winning at least two of the three titles available while the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United could battle it out to win a trophy. While manchester united and Chelsea team depth might make them win two titles, no hope exists for teams such as Arsenal and lic3ster united while Liverpool might likely be doomed in the same way they were last season.
