Chelsea lost again and this time, it's to a fellow struggling Manchester city side. Although the game outcome was so unsure off before kick-off because of the bad form Chelsea was also because of the ranting from Guardiola.

Guardiola was opposing the Chelsea match be played as five of his team players were suffering from Corona Virus. This was why their last match was canceled too and most of the infected players were yet to recover.

While we are accustomed to Man city playing without a main striker, their lineup wasn't meat with a surprise as the team list was announced for the match against Chelsea.

Chelsea line up on the other hand was meet with shock as Lampard got it all wrong.

His mistake in the game was starting the return Hakim zyiech in a tough game and also playing Warner in the central role while dropping your two inform strikers on the bench.

This move backfired has no striker could hold up play according to Lampard's style of play and no striker was in the box. Zyiech made seven crosses in tonight's match and only one found a Chelsea player.

Imagine someone like Giroud in the central forward role for Chelsea and the impact he would have made with crosses from Zyiech.

Werner has proven to be somewhat a flop and he is finding it hard to adjust to the premier league intensity and demands.

Chelsea conceded three goals to Manchester City just in the first half even though they had a greater share of the ball possession. The half-time scoreline could be blamed on Lampard's approach to the game with his selection.

His decision not to start a recognized striker backfired and the first half was woeful. The introduction of Hudson odoi in the second half changed this a bit but Werner's role as a center forward was a total mess.

A consolation goal was scored at the nick of time by Hudson but it counted for too little and too late. This sums up the bad season that Chelsea is facing and it's time to accept the fact that Lampard might be in the race to save his job.

Many might argue that the players should be blamed but Lampard carries as much blame too.

Lampard's constant formation change has been one source of headache for the team as the players sometimes play like they are new players to the clubs. Thanks to Lampard constants information change, the Chelsea players are yet to get to know each other's games well.

Also, Lampard's lack of trust in some players has not worked in his favor. The constant starting of Hudson from the Chelsea bench for over five straight matches has been bad. He delivers while on the pitch and should be given more runs in the team.

Giroud is one player that has not been trusted by Lampard and yet he keeps scoring. He was an unused substitute in the Chelsea game against man city. He should be playing more and given longer runs in the team line up.

Also, Lampard has been getting it wrong with his trusted starters in the Chelsea squad. The likes of Mount and Werner deserves no place in the Chelsea line up based on their form.

To correct this leopard should get his priorities sorted out and start using the 4-2-1-3 formation. The backline could remain his regular while his midfield pair should be Kovacic and Kante while his 10 should be Kai while the front three should be Pulisic, Giroud and Hudson

Hudson could be subbed for Zyiech also, but the structure should look exactly like that, and the more game this player starts together, the better for the team as a whole.

This formation would really help the Chelsea team balance between Attack and defense. The faster Lampard sort out his first-team selection, the better for Chelsea.
