Those who've seen the lined up fixtures for the quarter finals would surely agree with me that based on the pairings, we're in for very competitive contests. All four matches seem perfectly matched between teams of equal abilities at the moment except one in my opinion: Man City vs Lyon.

Now this fixture unlike all others seems to tilt more in City's direction. Yes you can argue that Lyon proved that they can match giants by beating Juve, but then even as much as I dislike Juventus, I just can't deny that the officiating in that fixture was poor. It left a lot to be desired in my opinion even right from the very start.

Two penalties for fouls that weren't even existent were what changed the outcome of the tie, especially the one that came in the game's opening. I could almost bet that a better officiating in that fixture would have led to a different outcome. But well, I don't wanna go too deep in analysing why because that would mean more writing for me and more reading for you which I'm sure you don't want, lol.

City happens to be the better of the two sides in all aspects. And although, their star man, Memphis Depay is known for his amazing step ups when needed, I doubt that he'll be able to do much in this encounter.

But, this is just a prediction based on what is known about the two clubs and their performances this season. And most of all, it is my opinion. I'll like to hear yours though. Do you feel Man City would easily defeat Lyon as I've predicted or you feel we're up for another shocker from "The Kids" from France ?? Do let me know in the comments below.
