FC Bayern's exit from the Uefa Champions League has no doubt come as a shocker to fans across the world. The Bavarians went into the second leg quarter final fixture looking to overturn the scoreline after a 2-3 loss at home last week. They were once again without star-striker Robert Lewandowski but they still looked more than capable of creating something spectacular with the calibre of stars in their lineup.

The first few minutes of the game made it look like things were going to go in their favour as they controlled ball possession for most of the opening minutes of the game and created good pieces of plays. However, they didn't get their goal until the 40th minute thanks to Eric Choupo-Moting's header from David Alaba's cross.

The second half started in similar fashion as the first with Bayern controlling ball possession and creating dangerous chances. It all seemed as if the current Champions were set to qualify for the next round and subsequently, defend their title. The home side's defence did have a lot to handle, almost more than they could take but to the delight of their manager, the Parisiens were able to retain their advantage till the end of 90 minutes.

0-1 was the scoreline on the night but PSG go through to the quarter finals based on the away goals rule.
