For many years, the EPL has prided itself as the most competitive league. Just cast your mind back to last season and you will have a clear picture of how competitive the EPL is. Liverpool went the whole season and lost just once only to lose the league to Manchester City with one point after garnering a staggering 97 points. This is something that doesn't happen anywhere else. Even with this, the EPL was one where small teams looked to spring offsets on the big boys and ruin their plans.

But right now it is looking like the competitiveness of the EPL is giving way to a two horse race. The seeds looked like the were sowed last season but they look like they are blooming right now and becoming a full blown two horse race between Manchester City and Liverpool. Leicester look like they are putting up a good fight but I expect them to stumble at some point. They are a good team but they don't have the kind of quality that Man City and Liverpool possess. Right now it looks like Liverpool's only competition is Man City, and Man City's only competition is Liverpool.

The other big teams like Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United don't even look like they are interested in putting up a fight against these two sides. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if in another two years the EPL is like La Liga where only two teams dominate or like League 1 or the Bundesliga. Liverpool and Manchester City don't look like they want to slow down anytime soon in their dominance at the top of the league. Let's see how it goes though

What do you think, do you think the EPL is looking to become like La Liga and League 1?
