Liverpool certainly broke the heart of thousands of fans when they drew against Manchester United 1-1 at Old Trafford. A win would have equalled the record set by Manchester City for the longest winning streak which was eighteen matches. But when it was needed the most, the European Champions flunked it😩😩.

Everyone expected Liverpool to win the game hut they started in a very lackadaisical and uncharacteristically lazy manner. They gave away possession cheaply and they allowed Man united to play them. It was certainly no surprise when Marcus Rashford scored on the 40th and i almost cried for the first time in a long time as a Liverpool fan. Even if we are to lose to anyone, it shouldn't be to our nemesis, our arch rivals Manchester United.

In the second half, we played a lot better but they didn't seem hurried in my view. They did not play like a team that were down by a goal at all. Yes they controlled the ball and had a lion share of the possession but they did mostly nothing with it and just had the ball. And when they didn't know what to do with it they gave it away. The goal by Lallana truly gave hope that we could win the game but it was not to be. Liverpool launched many attacks in the dying moments to try and win the game but the attempts were lame and Man United managed to withstand the pressure and hang on for a victory that broke the hearts of many Liverpool fans.

The draw is truly bittersweet as we knew we should have won this game, but its certainly better than losing to Manchester United and even anyone for that matter. So while i am crying😭😭 that we drew, i am still thankful we didn't lose😂.
