If you were to ask any of my friends anything about me...one of the things that they would probably mention is that I have a knack for winning contests- and you can see this from my last posting as well when I won a trip to Munich to meet the players of my favourite football club- FC Bayern Munich. Anyways, I am here to share with you another one that I won and that I felt was worth mentioning to you all.

This Stadium is called Parc des Princes (where Paris Saint-Germain F.C plays) and I got to watch Germany play Northern Ireland

Sometime in 2016 I saw a contest via LinkedIn with UEFA. It's purpose was to showcase the people at the heart and soul of UEFA and to give people that normally don't work in sports a behind the scenes look at what it’s like to work at a major sporting event and organisation. What I loved about winning this, was that it also gave me the chance to explore the multiple roles and skills required to successfully stage a large-scale event (the Euro's). And c'mon...who wouldn't want a free trip to France to get a behind the scenes tour of UEFA's International Broadcast Centre and attend a Germany vs Northern Ireland game? :)

I had such an amazing time with this and I would gladly recommend keeping an eye out for such contests. Only issue is that the guy who launched this UEFA People Project left UEFA after working there for so many years and it seems that they did not continue on with it (sadly). Guess I was super lucky to have been part of its launch!

As close as I can get to my Germans :)
