The 2020/2021 EPL season kicked off on Saturday 12, September with Fulham hosting Arsenal at Craven Cottage, London.

We saw a lot of great goals. I am bringing you a quick review of all results in week one.

Fulham 0 - 3 Arsenal

Arsenal began their new season with an entertaining 0-3 defeat of Fulham. Arsenal definitely looks very different coming into the season. Arsenal fans couldn't wish a better start of the new EPL campaign. This is their biggest away league win since beating Fulham 5-1 in October 2018.

Crystal Palace 1 - 0 Southampton

Wilfried Zaha volleyed in his 50th career league goal on the 13th minute as Crystal Palace claimed a 1-0 win against Southampton at Selhurst Park. The visitors pushed hard in the second half for an equalizer, but Palace held on for their first home win in an opening match of a Premier League season.

Liverpool 4 - 3 Leeds

A Mohamed Salah hat-trick helped Liverpool to a 4-3 home victory over promoted Leeds, playing in the EPL for the first time since 2004, in a pulsating start to their Premier League title defense.

West Ham 0 - 2 Newcastle

Goals from debutants Callum Wilson and Jeff Hendrick gave Newcastle United a 2-0 victory at West Ham United.

West Brom 0 - 3 Leicester

A debut goal by Timothy Castagne and two penalty goals from last season's Golden Boot winner - Jamie Vardy, earned Leicester City a 3-0 victory over promoted West Bromwich Albion.

Tottenham 0 - 1 Everton

Big surprise from Everton as they get all three points against Tottenham on their field. Dominic Calvert-Lewin's superb second-half header proved the difference as Everton claimed a 1-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur. A single goal was enough to secure Everton's first league win over Spurs since December 2012.

Sheffield 0 - 2 Wolves

Quick goals from Raul Jimenez and Romain Saiss gave Wolverhampton Wanderers a 2-0 opening-weekend victory at Sheffield United.

Brighton 1 - 3 Chelsea

Chelsea went away with an impressive 3-1 win against Brighton & Hove Albion at Amex Stadium.

Table and Standings

Although it counts for nothing so early in the campaign, here is the table and standings of the EPL

Eight teams collected three points, with Arsenal and Leceister gaining the best goal difference, leaving eight teams without any points, with Fulham and West Brom sharing the worst goal difference.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Burnley are yet to earn any point as their matches were postponed. The two Manchester clubs were offered extended breaks due to their involvement in the knockout stages of the Europen competition.
