I read about this today and I my first thought was.. WTF.. why would they do that? What about the Girona and Barca fans, do they have to travel for more than 4700 miles to support their team in Miami? Who has come up with this idea? I can understand that they want to promote Football (Soccer) in the United Stated but why in an official LaLiga match? In my opinion, this leads to an unfair competition..

LaLiga chairman Javier Tebas said:

"It is 90 percent sure that Girona-FC Barcelona will be played in the US"

last month LaLiga signed a fifteen-year contract with Relevent, an American sports and media multinational. The deal contains playing a number of Primera División matches in North America and is worth 200 million euros. I learned that the teams are not forced to play in the US but they can offer themselves, but as I read more about this I understand that all these important decisions were made without the opinion of players and fans.

David Aganzo (Spanish players union) said:

"The players are unanimous against this plan"

what are your thoughts about this?

Can the LaLiga organisers continue their controversial plan to play competition duels in the United States?

Would you, American friends visit this match if you had the chance?

The match is scheduled for Sunday 27 January in Miami.

For Example: can you imagine an Official NBA game between Miami Heat vs San Antonio Spurs played in Barcelona.  Lol :-)
