The two big giants of the night; Real Madrid and Manchester City won their games respectively on away soils, this is basically a big advantage for both sides to make it to the final eight of the competition.

Real Madrid were up against Italian side; Atalanta on the night as they defeated them with a lone goal from French Defender; Mendy at injury time. Atalanta were a man down though from the commencement of the game but tried to hold on till Mendy broke the jinx during loss time as the Madrid Giants left with a victory.

Manchester City in the other hand scored in both halves to head back to England with a two goal advantage over Bayern Monchengladbach as they won 0-2, Manchester City as seeming so ready for this season's UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE with such an away form and victory, really surprising but expected with their recent firm even in the Barclays Premier league.

Can Manchester do a double or Treble this season with Champions league inclusive... Only time will tell
