One of the most important national sports newspapers in Italy, La gazzetta dello sport, yesterday opened the newspaper with the suggestion of the return (or arrival in the case of Modric) in Italy of four world superstars of football. Inter, Milan, Juventus and Napoli would seem ready to welcome Modric, Ibrahimovic, Pogba and Cavani respectively. How much is there real and how much supposition in what the gazetta says? Ibrahimovic - Milan
The Swedish from the "milanello" parties left indelible memories, the Milan fans would be ready to welcome him with open arms. Milan's attack could become stellar with him supporting Higuain and Suso. Ibrahimovic himself in a recent interview seemed dissatisfied with his career in the USA. These are his words:
"Wenger at the Milan? It can be possible that i'll go back before ... Me and my family love life in Los Angeles, but I need a challenge, to be able to continue there"
Ibra's manager, Mino Raiola, is expected in the next few days in Milan to speak for another of his assistants, Bonaventura, with Milan. Will the two sides take advantage of this meeting to discuss a possible return to the Rossoneri from Sweden? Who knows, we'll see.
Pogba - Juventus
Paul Pogba has always been admired by the Juventus management and he do the same by complimenting Juventus as a company and its own fans. In the last game won by his Manchester United at Juventus Stadium for 2-1, at the end of the game, he stops to greet the former fans and then leaves a photo with a message on Instagram that has reinforced the dreams of Juventini fans for his return(see the message on Instagram below).
Pogba would fill the only department where this year's stellar Juventus, which aims to win the Champion's League, seems to need reinforcements: the midfield. Manchester United, for its part, will not easily sell the French as it cost them two years ago, just from Juventus, 120 million euros. Juventus in two years has become richer and more determined to win and... the fans dream.
Modric - Inter
Of the four this seems the least likely hypothesis. There are few reasons for Modric to leave Madrid to land in Milan: find the Croatian group that now plays in Inter (Perisic, Vrsalijko and Brozovic) and find new incentives. These are the same motivations used by the player and his entourage this summer to be able to snatch a prolongation and enrichment of the contract from the merengues. Now Modric has a contract of 8 million euros a year until 2020. Not bad for a 33-year-old!
Cavani - Napoli
This is the news that most I care about all and that I have deepened more being a fan of Naples. There are two aspects to consider: Cavani's contract and his well-being in Paris. Cavani in Paris seems to be overshadowed by the shadow of Neymar and Mbappè so much. Rumors say that against the Brazilian there were various quarrels in the locker room. Cavani in Paris has a contract for another two years of 14 million euros net per season, Napoli cannot afford that contract. It seems, however, that Napoli wants to offer 30-35 million for the next four years, an important reduction of wage by Cavani. The striker, in Naples, left his ex-wife and his two sons and a people who acclaimed him as a king. The Napoli would make this important economic sacrifice because at the center of the attack Milik is making below expectations and we can not always expect Mertens to make 30 goals per season (even if at the end the Belgian little guy makes them and amazes everyone).
