Jesse Lingard has not had an excellent season for Manchester United and the 27 year old has further contract expirations at the end of this season, although United have the option to extend the contract for another year.
The Englishman has not played in the Premier League or Champions League this season which is partly due to an injury that has kept him out since the beginning of October. However, Lingard is registered in the squad for both tournaments and was back on the bench in the 1-2 defeat to PSG where he watched the entire match.
The lack of playing time has made Lingard consider being let out when the transfer window reopens in January. According to the English media, the 27-year-old's agent have started talks with Sociedad and other clubs.
Sociedad is off to a strong start in LaLiga, where the club is in second place with 25 points in 12 games. David Silva switched from Manchester City to the club this summer and now it may be Lingard's turn from the other part of Manchester to do the same.
