The A-League is coming soon for eight-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt after accepting "in principle" in agreement with the Central Coast Mariners of Australia.

Bolt is scheduled to enter in the six-week campaign at Mariners starting next month.

"The club can confirm that it has been in negotiations with the Olympic champion and world record holder, regarding the opportunity to trial here on the Central Coast," said Mariners.

"The Central Coast Mariners remain committed to discussions with the 'world's fastest man' and his management team, regarding what role the club may play in Bolt's burning ambition to become a professional footballer."

Bolt's agent Tony Rallis first confirmed with 100-m and 200-m world record holder agreed in the deal.

"The deal between the Mariners and Usain Bolt in principle has been agreed, subject to a couple of benchmarks," Rallis said.

Currently, the conversation is still ongoing regarding Bolt's compensation to the team.

However, based on the report, one "multi-million dollar" deal was proposed.

Knowing that Bolt was an admirer of Manchester United, with former assistant managers Mike Phelan currently in the Mariners.

Last month Bolt trained in the Norwegian club Stromsgodset and in the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund last March.
