Liverpool are currently leading the Premier League and are the clear favorites to win the title this season. They haven’t faced much tough competition so far, especially since last season’s champions have struggled to keep up. However, Manchester City might be bouncing back, especially after their solid 2-0 win against Leicester City. City is known for making comebacks, and their recent game gave fans a glimpse of what they’re capable of. In that match, Savinho scored his first goal for the team and assisted Erling Haaland, who also put in a fantastic performance.
For me, the most impressive thing wasn’t just Manchester City’s win but how dominant they were against Leicester City. Liverpool looks strong and doesn’t seem like they’ll slow down anytime soon, but Pep Guardiola might be cooking 🔪. With the January transfer window coming up, City could also sign new players to strengthen their squad.
Here’s how City has performed in their last 14 games:
❌ Lost 2-1 to Tottenham
❌ Lost 2-1 to Bournemouth
❌ Lost 4-1 to Sporting
❌ Lost 2-1 to Brighton
❌ Lost 4-0 to Spurs
⚖️ Drew 3-3 with Feyenoord
❌ Lost 2-0 to Liverpool
✅ Won 3-0 against Nottingham Forest
⚖️ Drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace
❌ Lost 2-0 to Juventus
❌ Lost 2-1 to Manchester United
❌ Lost 2-1 to Aston Villa
⚖️ Drew 1-1 with Everton
✅ Won 2-0 against Leicester City
City hasn’t been at their best recently, with plenty of losses and just a few good results. Still, their win against Leicester might be the start of a comeback. Pep Guardiola has shown many times that he knows how to turn things around. So, can Manchester City get back to winning consistently? Let’s wait and see. If I were you, I wouldn’t count Pep out just yet.
