Source: Premier League

Before getting into my picks for this week's EPL action, I must admit that I had a terrible week in terms of EPL predictions with nearly all of my picks turning up wrong. I wasn't alone as there were many huge upsets that hardly anyone could've predicted.

Stats from Last Week:

  • Wins: 3
  • Losses: 11
  • Won/Lost (In Units): -25.55

It's looking like another crazy week of action in the EPL, so with that in mind, here are my picks and my confidence levels for each which will determine how much I wager on each. I'm going to take bigger risks and see if they pay off. Feel free to call me crazy in the comment section below.

Fulham vs. Wolves

Before losing in a tough match against Liverpool, the Wolves were on a three-match winning streak, picking up three points against Bournemouth, Newcastle, and Chelsea. I expect them to return to their winning ways with Raul Jimenez scoring the lone goal against Fulham, who still sit in 20th in the standings.

Pick #1: Wolves to win (2.467 on Betscorum.com). Confidence: 5

Pick #2: Under 2.5 goals (1.884 on Betscorum.com). Confidence: 2

Burnley vs. Everton

Surprisingly, Everton does not have a win in their past five matches (two draws). They travel to face Burnley who has played difficult opponents tough, including a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham. They also picked up three points earlier this month against Brighton.

Pick #1: Burnley to win (4.590 on Betscorum.com). Confidence: 1

Pick #2: Burnley to win or draw (1.989 on Betscorum.com). Confidence: 5

Crystal Palace vs. Cardiff

Crystal Palace now has the attention of the entire league after defeating Manchester City. It was a shocking victory that is sure to lead many to believe that Crystal will soon rise out of the bottom of the Premier League standings. I am not yet sold. With recent losses against West Ham and Brighton, Crystal Palace is a mediocre team that rises to play at the level of their opponents. I think they'll return to a poorer form against Cardiff. The match is still a toss-up. The forecast does call for goals with each team playing in matches that went over (or way over) 2.5 goals in three of their past four matches.

Pick #1: Cardiff to win or draw (2.416 on Betscorum.com). Confidence: 1

Pick #2: Over 2.5 goals (no market as of yet). Confidence: 3

Leicester vs. Manchester City

Leicester has woken up! They suddenly want to play like real contenders, and I'm listening. Manchester City is coming off of their first defeat and they look like they are primed for another disappointing outing here. Leicester at home will be playing their best game against City, and they just might come away with something.

Pick #1: Draw (5.427 on Betscorum.com). Confidence: 3

Pick #2: Draw or Leicester win (3.426 on Betscorum.com). Confidence: 3

Liverpool vs. Newcastle

Rondon and Newcastle don't stand much of a chance at beating Liverpool, but they have shown that they can score against the best. They'll be overwhelmed with joy if they can come away with a point, and while it isn't likely, it's possible. I do expect Rondon to get through for a goal against Liverpool's tough defense after surprisingly coming up empty against Fulham last week.

Pick #1: Draw (8.572 on Betscorum.com). Confidence: 1

Pick #2: Over 2.5 goals (no market as of yet). Confidence: 5

Manchester United vs. Huddersfield

One strong outing from United doesn't mean they are done with their troubles. I'm going to bet where there's value, and there is very little value in betting Manchester United to win. I'll take a surprise draw, which has been a common result for United this season (Crystal Palace, Southampton, Wolves).

Pick #1: Draw (6.99 on Betscorum.com). Confidence 1

Tottenham vs. Bournemouth

Callum Wilson and company have worked their way in the top-8. They face a very tough challenge when they travel to Tottenham, who just absolutely destroyed Everton 6-2. I'm once again betting on value rather than common sense here, and putting a few coins on the big upset.

Pick #1: Bournemouth to win (10.484 on Betscorum.com). Confidence: 1

Brighton vs. Arsenal

Arsenal is not an unbeatable side, but they are 11-3-4 and have won three of their previous five matches. Brighton has lost three in a row, and even at home, I feel that a loss is imminent. With decent enough value, I'll put it all on Arsenal to win.

Pick #1: Arsenal to win (1.757 on Betscorum.com). Confidence: 5

Watford vs. Chelsea

Sometimes it's not the best team that wins, but the hotter team. Watford has won their past two matches, including a road victory (2-0) over West Ham. Chelsea slipped against Leicester in their last match and things won't be much easier as they face Watford on the road.

Pick #1: Watford to win or draw (2.241 on Betscorum.com). Confidence: 3

Pick #2: Draw (3.978 on Betscorum.com). Confidence: 1

Southampton vs. West Ham United

Injuries are finally catching up to my Hammers with Javier Hernandez' health now in question as well. Southampton has won two straight matches and they'll have the home crowd on their side as well. I'll predict a 2-0 victory for Southampton. If Arnautovic plays, it may be 2-1, but I still like Southampton to take the three points.

Pick #1: Southampton to win (2.31 on Betscorum.com. I'll place my own bet here). Confidence: 5
