With the end of a year comes a lot of action in the EPL. I was surprised and excited to see that another batch of Premier League matches are here once again after two matches each in the past week.

There is a lot of action happening on betscorum.com and I'm back again with more EPL picks, and hopefully a few winners. Before jumping into my picks for this week (1/1 -- 1/2), let's take a quick look back at last week's results. Here is my pick's post from last week.

Wins: 3

Losses: 4

Previous Week: 4-12

I had a decent week but lost my biggest bet when West Ham fell badly to Burnley. I am steering clear of my West Ham United Hammers this week. They may be able to beat Brighton at home, but I'm not confident enough to bet on them after their surprising 0-2 loss to Burnley. I'll just step away from this match and focus on a few matches I'm a little more confident in. Here are the matches I'll be concentrating on this week and my picks.

Everton vs. Leicester City

Two surging teams in good form will face each other this week in Everton vs. Leicester City. While Everton will host the match, Leicester has been the more impressive side with wins against Manchester City and Chelsea. Everton lost to Burnley in their last match and I see them either losing or drawing against Leicester City. I'll take the draw. My second pick would be to back Leicester City to win at 3.874 on betscorum.com.

Pick: Draw 2-2. Confidence:

Cardiff City vs. Tottenham

Tottenham's dominance came to a screeching halt against the Wolves on Saturday (1-3). I can't see the same result occurring twice against a week Cardiff City side that has won one of their past four matches. Granted it was against Leicester, but Cardiff is averaging just a single goal a match over their past four outings, and it's very unlikely that they will hold Tottenham to a single goal in this match.

Pick: Tottenham 2-0. Confidence: 3

Huddersfield vs. Burnley

After losing to Fulham, Huddersfield has now failed to grab a single point in their past six matches. Burnley recently defeated my West Ham United Hammers and looked great doing it. They are the underdogs on the road, but I really like Burnley in this matchup. I could see Chris Wood or Sam Vokes getting the lone goal in a 1-0 Burnley victory.

Pick: Burnley to win. Confidence: 5

Bournemouth vs. Watford

Bournemouth is a solid team going through a rough stretch. They get a matchup against a mediocre Watford side that is coming off of a disappointing draw against Newcastle. I have confidence in Callum Wilson to lead Bournemouth to a victory here, 2-1.

Pick: Bournemouth to win. Confidence: 3

Newcastle vs. Manchester United

Manchester United looks like a brand new team with something to play for. Pogba has been unleashed and he is playing the best football of his life. Manchester United is currently 1.637 to win, and I like them to win and help this match end in over 2.5 goals.

Pick #1: Manchester United to win. Confidence: 4

Pick #2: Over 2.5 goals. Confidence: 2

Manchester City vs. Liverpool

I have a hard time staying away from the best team in the league being an underdog. Liverpool is 3.627 to beat Manchester City on the road. Although they would likely be happy with a draw, I find it hard to believe that they won't come out with the same fire they showed against Arsenal to beat a Manchester City side that has struggled of late.

Pick: Liverpool to win. Confidence: 4

What do you think of my picks above? What will I be right about? Where did I go wrong?
