MANÉ

BOOT - MANÉ

After the Salah’s brilliant performance in 2017/18, it will be hard for him to repeat his scoring feat, as teams will adjust their game plan to stop him. This gives Mané space to work with, and we saw last season that if Mane gets going, it’s hard to stop him, especially with his pace and skills. There’s no reason why the Senegalese winger can’t have the best goal tally of his career this season and challenge for the Golden Boot.

SANÉ

PLAYMAKER - SANÉ

The young winger was faced with a tough task competing against an in-form Kevin de Bruyne’s assist tally last season, but he only came one short of his Manchester City teammate. With an impressive year already under his belt and no national team invitation to the World Cup, Sané will play like a man with a lot to prove and defenders will have a hard time stopping his runs from the left side in. I expect him to end this season with the PL Playmaker award to his name.

De Gea

GLOVE - DE GEA

After a disappointing world with Spain, David de Gea will need to show us once again why he’s the best goalie in the Premier League. With the brand of football Man United plays, it’s hard for opponents to break them down and get easy goals against their park-the-bus style. No one will benefit more from these defensive tactics than De Gea, as his job will be made much easier. Both a determination to play better and the team around him will prime the Spaniard for an impressive season and a chance at the Golden Glove.
