Host nation Cameroon eliminated debutant Comoros from the ongoing AFCON 2021 tournament to enter into the quarter finals.

There is a report that 6 persons died in a stampede as a result of fans trooping out of the stadium after the match and about half a dozen persons are injured as well. Confederation of African Football (CAF); the organising body of tournaments in a reports confirmed the incident and have open investigation into what transpired.
