Maurizio Sarri, the former Chelsea boss is once again making headlines in Italy regarding his smoking addiction. Sarri who departed Chelsea last season despite winning the Europa League was hired in his native country to manage Serie A giant Juventus following the departure of Massimiliano Allegri.

Maurizo Sarri who is notorious cigarette smoker had to battle with his habit in England due to the fact that smoking in stadium is banned in the league. Rather than stop his habit, Sarri devised a means to quench his taste by chewing cigarette butts during match days.

The 60 years old Sarri habit is causing a lot of discomfort amongst the club hierarchy who are irritated that the employee has refused to quit this habit after he has been advised about the health implication at his age and the image of the club. He was spotted having cigarette while taking selfie with some Juve fans this week.

In an interview when he was asked how he manage to cope with such life, he said he don’t feel the hunger to smoke during matches but immediately after the game he does that. But what caught everyone’s attention is his admittance that he smoke 60 sticks of Cigarette a day which amount to 21,900 sticks a year.

“I smoke 60 a day, which is probably a few too many,” he said

The Italian manager has already missed Juve's first two league matches of the season since his he was diagnosed of pneumonia earlier this month and has been under the care of the club's medical team. Sarri is hoping to be at the touch line this weekend as Juventus faces his former side Napoli.
