Roumde Adija Stadium in Garoua will be the hosts venue where the Super Eagles of Nigeria will look forward to work their way through to final in the first knock out phase of the tournament when they clash with Tunisia in the ongoing AFCON 2021 in Cameroon on Sunday evening. Tunisia who finished among the top four best loser or rather third in group F will have a tough match against a Nigerian team that finished top of group D with 9 points.

Tunisian and Nigeria are not new to each other when it comes to world of football and African competition. Both sides have met a record 20 times in the past with Nigeria and Tunisia winning each other 6 times each and drawing 8. The only difference between the two sides remains the number of AFCON by both teams. Nigeria has won it a record three times with Tunisia winning their first and only AFCON in the year 2004.

Nigerian coach Austin Eguava will definitely put a very strong squad haven rested a lot of first team players against the Tunisians who have been a very tough opponent to the West African side. The likes of kelechi lheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi, Chukwuezi , Ekong, Omeruo, Simon Mosses and Awoniyo are expected to to be in the starting line up while Tunisia will parade the likes of Slimane, Talbi, Maaloul, , Skhiri, Chalali, Mathlouthi, Jaziri, Khaoui.

This game will definitely not be an easy match for both sides. Nigeria winning all three matches in the group stage still doesn't guarantee sure victory despite the Tunisians struggle with minor teams in the group stage. The round of 16 is a different ball game as any mistake made by the second to the last team we have no place for correction and both managers we thread carefully to ensure that their team progresses to the next stage
