Chelsea faced Manchester City at the back hill of their 3-0 win in Europa league against Malmo in Caraboa Cup Finals which both teams really tried to break into each others net but to no avail. The match started with Manchester City being in control of the match with a lot of passing in the second half of the pitch.

Chelsea best moment came when Eden Hazard got a pass from Willian from the middle of the pitch at the left flank of the final third, Walker missed the ball he should have cleared when Hazards bounced on the little error to move the ball into the eighteen yard box. Having being block the direction he was going to had to cut the ball back into the box and made an attempt which was blocked.

In the second half, Hazard got another ball from Willian in what was a counter attack to the City final third beating Walker at the corner line to pass the ball to the incoming Kante who shot the ball wide over the post. The game proceeded with both teams making to threat at each other until the game went into the extra time.

At the last 2 minutes of the extra time when the Chelsea keeper Kepa had cramp on his left leg for the second time in the game was a drama that left many sturned and shocked. Maurizio Sarri the Chelsea head coach called up second keeper Caballaro to replace him but Kepa turned down every attempt made to remove him even when the central referee walked up to him to talk to him to leave the pitch with David Luiz. The young keeper remained adamant with the believe he can do something differently from Caballero.

Sarri got mad the behavior Kepa exhibited in the pitch. This pissed him off that he almost tour his cloth and stormed towards the exit door out of fustration after informing Caballero to go back to the bench but later changed his mind and went back to his crew. At that point players like David Luiz and some coaching staff came to talk to him. After everything subsided, Sarri had to take up his responsibility to talk to his players. Caballero was calm in the whole drama but could not hide his frustration from his facial look. No doubt he felt under rated by the main keeper and portray is kind of unbelieve in him.

As the penalty proceeded, the man behind the Sarri philosophy Jorginho was the player to take the penalty kick Chelsea. I personally had doubt in his ability to score from the spot and as expected didn’t disappoint the numerous fan who were tensed at that moment. Jorginho set the ball on the spot and made a lazy run, jump up a bit to deceive the keeper and made a weak pass at the right hand of keeper who wasted no time in catching the ball.

It was Kepa’s turn to prove the stuff burning in his heart when conceded Manchester City first goal but did well to save Leroy Sane's kick. Azspilicueta was the second player to kick the ball for Chelsea and he ended beating the City keeper by slotting the ball at the top right angle of the post. David Luiz missed kick which hit the bar to bounce out mere hazard goal irrelevant at the end when

Conclusion

The caraboa cup finals has come and gone and Pep Guardiola has proven once again to best among the two coaches.
