They came, they saw and they conquered. This was what played out at Stamford Bridge yesterday as Chelsea lost to their visitors. It was a much anticipated victory for Liverpool from all indices and they didn’t disappoint. Getting their 15th straight win which is a club record from last season and has become the first team ever to win their first 6 matches in the league consecutively is a feat the Anfield men will remiscience on.

Alexander Arnold's powerful shot from a free kick spot was all Liverpool be needed to break Chelsea defence earlier in the first half. Salah had set the free kick for Arnold to play but Joghinho didn’t do well in blocking the kick which exposed the keeper as the ball went to the top corner of the net. Chelsea after missing a big opportunity to equalize through Tammy Abraham was able to see the back of the next when Cesar Azplicueta’s equalized at the 27th minutes. But VAR came into play and the goal was ruled out. Though l have my opinion reserved for the reasons however, Liverpool ensure Chelsea control less of the ball until the end of the first half.

Liverpool continued from where they stopped in the first half with Lampard boys looking increasingly vulnerable. It wasn’t long Roberto Firmino made it two from a corner kick as he nodded the ball unmarked. Marcus Alonso was responsible to keep Firmino marked but lost of concentration from the Spanish once again cost his team. With two goals up against a title contender, its less likely to dream of winning.

However, Ngolo Kante's wonderful solo goal gave then Londoners a big hope of getting a point from that moment on. Chelsea grew up their team momentum and started dominating the gave in the final 30 minutes of the match. Haven substituted Mane, the attack of Liverpool weakened with Salah and Firmino dropping deep to defend. In fact, Klopp was in panic to secure the three points as he made quite changes to give more strength to the team. Chelsea came a lot of times to equalize but failed to used their opportunity. Kloop ensured they held on to the lead till the final whistle. I know he must have told Frank Lampard he did a nice job but that’s not what the fan base like to hear all game as he is yet to win at home.

This was an over all wonderful performance for Chelsea lads and the fans are happy for them. However, Frank Lampard shouldn’t get use to playing well and losing to be petted for a good display. He must learn to keep his defense alert and avoid conceding unnecessary goals. The energy is good, the players loves him as well as the fan base. Things can fall quickly in football and all those can be lost.
