Chelsea last night ensured that they remain top of the Premier League by taking all 3 points after a hard-fought 2-1 victory against relegation-threatened Watford at Vicarage Road. Chelsea went into the 15th week of the Premier League with the whole list of first-team players injured and that's left Thomas Tuchel with tough decisions but filled in players he thought will be able to get all three points against a Watford side with a lot of injured players too. Watford led by former Chelsea first-team coach Claudio Ranieri had hinted it is pre-match review that is side even though being an underdog we ensure the game will not be easy ride for the league leaders. The match started with a surprise as Watford dominated in the first 10 minutes and continue to threaten Chelsea in the final third with a lot of aerial area ball which left Chelsea structure to be very disorganised. At the 10 minutes moment, there was an emergency situation at the fans stand as a player pointed out a fan who had a cardiac arrest in the stadium and that lead to the match being paused for over half an hour to attend to the fan.

On resumption, Chelsea were able to take the lead of the two sides when Kai havertz unselfish assist to Mason mount made it 1-0. Emmanuel Dennis 43rd minutes deflected shot of Antonio rudiger was enough for Watford to level up with Chelsea on 1-1 before the half-time. The equalizer was a well-deserved goal for Watford who have created and squandered a lot of chances in the first half.

Watford leveraged on a weak Chelsea side to cause havoc in the final third of the pitch at the beginning of the second half which forced Thomas Tuchel to strengthen his side with some changes. Diego Silva came in to strengthen the defence as Saul Niguez failed to impress, Hakim ziyech replacing Cesar Azpilicueta at the right wing back and Lukaku replacing for injured Chalobah.

Despite the the increasing threats of Watford at the final third of the pitch, Chelsea was able to lead again at the 72nd minute when Mason mount assisted Hakim ziyech who scored a brilliant goal with his left foot inside the 18-yard box. Despite leading, Chelsea were mainly disorganised throughout the duration of the game with Watford threatening to break on counter attack most of the times but Chelsea were lucky to get away with all three points at Vicarage Road.

This defeats now made it 5 losses out of 7 games for Claudio Ranieri since he took over while Chelsea on the other hand return to the summit of the Premier League once again.
