All road leads to Stamford Bridge in match week 6 of the premier league as Chelsea host Liverpool this afternoon in what is going to be a keenly contested match. Both team suffered defeat in their UEFA champions league outing to both Valencia and Napoli and will be looking forward to cheer their fans in the domestic fixture today. This will be the second time both teams will meet this season after their last encounter in the UEFA Super Cup which ended 2:2 and finally went to Liverpool on penalties last month.

Frank Lampard has faced Liverpool in his playing days when Chelsea was a force in the league while Liverpool were struggling for the top four position but the trend has reversed with Liverpool the better and much stronger side, leading Chelsea by 7 points on the log. However, Frank Lampard is yet to win at Stamford Bridge and it not looking to do so in this game with the title contenders. Haven thrown away a two goal lead against Sheffield remains unbeaten at home so far.

This encounter is between two opposite comparism. Lampard is still young and inexperienced with his youthful players to match the experience of Jurgan Klopp and his men. The game is wide but it's a game that Frank Lampard must face. Both coaches are attacking minding in their style and it’s going to be a goal laden contest as both teams have showed consistency in front of the goal post. Tammy Abraham is one of the hottest striker at the moment and will be leading the front for Frank Lampard’s squad but the limiting factor for Chelsea is that they have shipped in goals so far in alarming rate which is going to play against them today. Liverpool as well has been finding it difficult to keep a clean sheet in most of their fixtures but the attacking duo of Salah, Mane and Firmino hava compensated that with van Djik rooted at the defence.

Aside having mostly young players to face experience opponent, Lampard has a lot of injury worries in his team with Ngolo Kante not 100% fit due to ankle problems but mighty make a surprise substituted. Emerson is not nearing fitness anytime soon with Antonio Rudigar and Ruben Loftus Cheek not nearing return till November. However, Callum Hudson Odoi and Reece James are all nearing return but will have to pass a fitness test to feature in this game.

It’s going to be a very tough encounter for the blues fans this evening but the odd is favoring Klopp’s side at 48% to win while Chelsea has 26% chance to pull a surprise as well as 26% chances for a draw. One thing in mind of a true Chelsea fan this evening is for a Lampard’s boys to give Liverpool a good run for their money. They did it in the UEFA Super League by out playing Klopp’s men in most of the 90 minutes and all hope is high as they can repeat same fit and this time utilize their opportunity in front of the goal posts to salvage a point.
