The Italian brought along with him a player who best fits into his philosophy of football in the person of Jorginho. Both of them arrived Chelsea the same day with Jorgunho costing Chelsea a whooping $57m in transfer fees. The integrating of Jorginho into Maurizio Sarri style sparked a new revolution in Chelsea football and world football generally which later was nicknamed “Sarriball” after the head coach. The was bought by all fans as its a style of moving the ball very fast from player to player with Jorginho at the center of the park to detect the flow of the game. In fact, by early December, Sarri was the only manager in Europe yet to taste a defeat with a run of 18 matches unbeaten and Jorginho recording the highest pass in a match in football history in some games.

At the wake of the stressful December schedule of the English premier league saw the style fallen apart like park of card with so much criticism from fans and pundit about Sarri style. He came under heavy fire by fans from blaming him by moving Ngolo Kante from his natural position up front to constantly using the set of players week in week out to not trusting young players in the team. The criticism was much with little public backing from the club especially Roman Abrahamovic silence. This informed the bases for Sarri wanting to leave Chelsea immediately after the finals of the UEFA Europa League as it was being carried in the media houses that Sarri works at Chelsea will solely be judged on whether he lifted the trophy or not.

With Eden Hazard who has been Chelsea key player for the past 7 years heading to Spanish capital in summer which will leave Chelsea an average team with not power to sign new players due to transfer ban handed over to them, Sarri may be seeing little future with his teams on the ground of the calibre of coaches he has to face in the league next season.

At wake of his transfer to Juventus to replace Massimiliano Allegri, one player that have been talking tough is Jorginho who still have a contract with Chelsea. In an interview, Jorginho said he is very sad that Sarri will leave Stamford Bridge this soon. He still didn’t hide his feeling toward the fans for heavily criticising him whenever the team loses a match. ‘’The criticism was probably because of the football culture in England. People aren’t used to seeing a player like me in front of the defence’’

Conclusion

Maurizion Sarrri may be right for wanting to leave Chelsea with his contract still running and going to his home country once again but given Chelsea that benefit of doubt and football fans generally would have been awesome. Juventus have dominated Seria A, so lifting the league next season would not be much deal but the extent they will go in the champions league will be his assessment.
