Nothing better happened to me in the past 7 days than getting to know about scorum through a nairalander @Tosyne2much who made a post on the forum urging sport writers and enthusiast to join the scorum community and blog for fun while earning from what they love doing best. Last night makes it 7 days that l joined scorum community and wouldn’t deny the fact that it has being challenging writing and going to work to meet at boss in the office that work my ass out each day.

After my registration on the site through a link sent to me, I was happy seeing 5SCR on my profile with a beautiful purple icon beside it. However, I found myself completely lost on the site. It was so strange that l spent 5minutes starring at everything on the page. There were many pictures scattered on different sections of the page accompanied by sentences that looks like headlines. ‘’ Yes, this must be sport headlines’’ I told myself as recognized many sport pictures and the area of sport they belong to. Notable were the football, NBA and boxing articles on that particular day. At the same time were other few strange pictures staring me. That caught my attention and got me completely lost. I decided to try one of them.

‘’I have been seeing this in movies’’ I said.

‘’How come it’s a sport?’’ the question reverberated in my brain.

‘’I thought it was just game riches people play’’ I began conversation with my inner man.

Driven with that curiosity, I clicked on the picture, it zoomed out and I waited some seconds for it to load. I got no response,then I repeated it again and the same thing happened on three different occasions.

‘’What the hell of a site have I found myself ’’.‘

’If I try this again one more time and it doesn’t open, I will get the fuck out of here’’

All these were playing in my head and has taken an atom of my adrenaline. Luckily a click the headline rather that the picture and there I go. It was a piece on Poker and that is how l read my first scorum. I spend the whole time navigating between articles and different forums.

I was told that I have to introduce myself on scorum before I could be recognised. Immediately, I recalled that i had seen something of that sort in one of the forums. I went back there and studied the different pattern of introductions. I sat down, thought about something creative to come out with that will make me stand out. An inspiration came to me.

I did my introductory post after the #tag stage gave me a million pounds stress after I adopted the name of teams coach and his style of football; Mr-Sarriball. The name sounds so good to me that i might consider naming my future son after Sarri. Hahahahaha. That became my first post on scorum. The first person that welcomed me was @bamamama couple with her upvote. That name has remained in my head. This was followed by series of others who showered me with welcome notes, upvotes and words of encouragement on scorum.

‘’how come people are welcoming me’’ I really felt belonged and as a king.

The most amazing thing was that my phone began to be busy with notifications from scorum and till now, when I see a notification either as comment or upvotes on my post,

I feel appreciated and encouraged. Since then, I have developed a great love and believe in scorum and what it intends to achieve in the future.

From then I have made a couple of articles including the good, the bad and ugly in terms of words usage, work arrangement and length of article. I leaned back and started going through some people’s work to see how I can help myself.

I must say the last few days have really improved my writing skills as I read and learn from peoples posts as well as their encouragement like @pete @jp @tosyne2much @brandonk @Idunique @phils @mikey and @izge have been so wonderful on my scorum journey not forgetting the likes of @tales @hassan @swolesome @writingamigo @prates. My deep appreciation to my county men @austino @zoneboy @oceanboy newbies like @kolumbus and a lot of others who have encouraged me in one way or the other. All of you guys remain my mentor and friends as long as scorum exist.

To all the crew behind this initiative, I really appreciate and celebrate you guys for coming up with wonderful idea. My shout out also to all the guys promoting scorum in different sporting arena in form of contest, prediction, playing games, physical and online seminar in order to push newbies like us up the scorum leader. I am enjoying all the chats and posts on telegram. I say ‘’God bless you more and more’’. I promise you guys that I will cease every opportunity to promote this platform and hopefully, we all shall see to the success of this initiative.
