The news of the sacking of Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho came a little bit like a surprise to many sports analyst and football fans. Nobody saw it coming this soon after their 3-1 defeat in the hands of Liverpool last weekend. The debate is still raging among fans who received the news with mix reaction.
watching he once reverenced Jose sacked in an unceremonious way for the third time in his career really put me a sympathetic state with him. He was shown the exit at Chelsea twice, once in Madrid and now Manchester United. Why many will be happy to see this development as welcoming, i really feel for Jose.
While the defender of Jose will role out his previous record as well as the lack of much financial backing during the transfer. Is no doubt Jose has complained on n ot given much financial chess when compared to Pep Guardiola but those who disagreed says, he has spent more over £400m in the transfer to bring in average players.
Some has put the blame on Jose style and philosophy of football of being conscious of conceding goals on what has been termed ‘’Bus Parking’’ among football fans. Some argue this style has won him a lot of trophies other argues that the style is old. But we have seen Jose come out to play football against Chelsea and arsenal and still maintain that his style is not totally to blame but the players not wanting to play for him.
If am to air my opinion, l think Jose Mourinho has been the best thing that has happened to Manchester United since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013. He came in when the club was in dare need of a coach that will take them out of their struggle as the club has began to lose some market value. Mourinho turned things around in first season when he took them to finish top four in the league. The was bale to win three trophies for United in the second season when he added the EUROPA League Cup, Caraboa Cup and Community shield to the club trophy cabinet. This was a 2 good feat since Ferguson left as Manchester United began to regain their respect in the football world and share in the market.
The third season has not been juicy for Mourinho as usual as he has been finding it very difficult to stay in a club for more than two years without having his hand s full of problems. Rarely has Jose left as club peaceful but in controversy but when the opportunity presented itself for United to sign since, he showed signs that he wanted to longer that required unlike in Chelsea where he spent two seasons. With the new coming out of Manchester about Mourinho parting with the club, it is clear and has proven beyond doubt that he is a temporary coach that after short term results.
As Jose continue to make name for himself, I have no doubt that will land a job in no distance time and bounce back. I will him all the best.
