Former Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal is still making the headline following his retirement from coaching about a forth night ago. Well, speaking to new men about his travail at Manchester United especially the premier league culture. Van gala was about to bear his mind on many burning issues during his reign at Old Trafford but the one that caught the headline was that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should be partly grateful to Jose Mourinho for the successes he has recorded within a short period in the team and that wining the Champions league this season should not be a very impossible task to because they have been used to a defensive system which was a direct work of Mourinho.

Recall that Louis Van Gaal was the man that Jose Mourinho was hanging around Old Trafford to take over the helm of affairs from him when things were not going well with the club and got infuriated that United sacked him without respecting his office as the club head coach or his work after agreeing some terms with Jose without his prior knowledge. However , it is still a big surprise that Van Gaal still holds some respect for the Portuguese born coach. Jose has built many clubs that won trophies following his exit from which made me to agree to this.

He said Jose had done a lot of work on the united team before Solskjaer took over the team with his playing style which is massive defense and counter attack which he thinks was not better than his philosophy of attacking the opponent even though some may disagree with him.

Ole Solskjaer seems to be getting all the attentions at the moment following his turn around effect he has brought to the United team shortly after taking over from Mourinho last December. There was not much hope that the team would compete once again for the top four spot this season but a 10 matches winning streak and 2 recent loses has put Manchester United not only in the top four position to consolidate but has taken them to this year UEFA champions league quarter final this season against Spanish giant Barcelona. His moment was his coming back from a two away goals disadvantage to beat French side Paris saint-Germain 3-1 by away goal rule.

How Manchester United under Ole Gumnar Solskjaer will fare in the English premier league and how far his boys can go to get the trophy that have eluded EPL teams for some years now will go a very long way to determine if he will secure his job at United at the beginning of next season on a permanent basis.

Do you think United has all it takes to reach the Champions league finals in May? Let me hear you opinion of the comment section.
