Liverpool finally able to sit in the first position of the English Premier League standings as well as shifting the position of Manchester City. These results were obtained by the Reds after successfully beating Cardif City 4-1.

Juergen Klopp's strong desire to win the match has been seen since the beginning of the match. They did not want to give their guests the opportunity to hold the ball for a long time. No wonder if during the first round match Liverpool had more control over the course of the game.

Sure enough, only 10 minutes of the match took place at Anfield Stadium on Saturday (10/27/2018), the home supporters were cheered. Again Mohamed Salah became a star after taking advantage of the chaos in front of Cardif's goal which was guarded by Neil Etheridge.

The advantage of one goal further increases the tension of Liverpool attacks. Unfortunately until the first half the score has not changed.

In the second half, Liverpool immediately stepped on the gas. Wavy attacks make Cardif totally defensive and only occasionally counterattack.

Sadio Mane finally registered his name on the scoresheet at 66. Mane's goal was born after successfully defying himself from the opponent's defender and ending with a left-footed shot that could not be stopped in the slightest Etheridge. But unfortunately, amid Liverpool's efforts to continue to pursue their defense goals can be broken through Cardif. Callum Paterson finally can reduce the lag to 1-2.

Liverpool were finally able to increase their superiority through Xherdan Shaqiri. This stocky player entered as a reserve that replaced Adam Lallana. And Mane really gave a bad result for Cardif with a goal at the end of the match.

With an additional three points now Liverpool leave City by three points. But this position is somewhat unsafe considering City has not competed. They will only hold their song against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday (10/30/2018).

Meanwhile, the defeat suffered by Cardif made them enter the red zone. With 17th position, Cardif is just one strip below the relegation area.
