A QUICK ANALYSIS OF WHAT WE ARE UP AGAINST THIS SUNDAY
Barcelona will likely start with a 4-3-3, with Suarez, Coutinho and surpirse package (it could be Rafina/Dembele/Malcom) leading the attack.
Going to the weaknesses, Barcelona's right side is one of their weak points. Valverde will most likely start Roberto ahead of Semedo. Roberto isn't the best of the players in air or in defence. He has his moments but I am sure he'll do mistakes for us to exploit.
The game will be won in the Midfield, us having the superior mids will give us the edge over them. With no Messi helping them in buildup I am sure they'll have a hard time getting past us.
LOPETUGUI HAS THE PLAYER'S SUPPORT
LOPETEGUI. This man has the 1000% "hasta la murte" support of the squad. No rooms for mistakes. He plays against a Messiless Barcelona. We all know the extent of the dependence on Messi. God, Barcelona's players are freakin' good and I admire most of them but come on, they are nurtured to play with Messi from the very 1st moment they arrive at Catalunya. He should leave no room for judging on his desicions. He should beat Valverde. He should get the best out of everyone. He should win. He must win. He should play his best ever tactical game.
Valverde's Plan
Valverde might play a hand in giving us the victory as well. He is a coach with no plan B, often making changes towards the very end of the game. He is not the type of coach who'll take risks. This may play to our advantage.
Barcelona's height is one of their weak points as well. Through corners and crosses we should be able to score. I hope we don't waste corners in short passes. We are really good in corners and we should make the most of it against a team who sucks in defending corners.
•The Formation I Would'v Preferred
We should try 4-2-3-1 with casemiro-llorente as defensive midfielder with pivotal roles the one we use to play during Mourinho's time with Alonso and khadira and deploy kroos-isco-bale in the offensive of the mid with benzema upfront this would stabilize our defense and simultaneously we would be lethal in counters too. This system bought us back to renaissance back then it would work now as well. With a significant decline in performance from Modric our preference should be kroos and I believe it could work wonders like it did in season 11-12 but this is just my suggestion but I know we will be expecting the continuous tactics/Formation from lop.
