When Cristiano Ronaldo was in full swing, at his peak he used to do all the fancy stuffs with absolute ease. Nobody really understood the complexity of apparently simple things he used to do. Being a fan I also thought after his retirement it might be easy to take the next big star, the best player in the world and replace him. Well, things didn't pan out perfectly. Whenever I see a new star and I compare him with CR7, I realise what a monster that brilliant Portuguese was.
Now coming to the question, why is it that difficult to replace him? Is it because he is so good? Not really. Many great players came and went. They were replaced. Cristiano's most important trait was his uniqueness. He had a mix of footballing ability, athleticism, football iq, two footedness and passion. Many great players in the past had the magic in their feet but lacked the athleticism. Many had both but lacked the off ball intelligence. When I look at upcoming stars, Mbappe has athleticism, footballing ability and also iq. But he doesn't have the height which makes him unlikely to be as good in the air as Cristiano was. Bale had height too. But he isn't two footed like Cristiano. Vinicius Jr. also doesn't have the height. Neymar lacks the off ball movement and athleticism.
So do you see what Cristiano Ronaldo was? He had the unique mix of athleticism, footballing ability, football iq, two footedness and also an undying eagerness to be the best. This combination was never seen before and probably won't be seen anymore.

Ronaldo is surely gonna turn Juventus to Cristiano FC as well, they are going to be too reliant on him and it has already begun. Juve team had a very good chemistry between them before Ronaldo arrived and now it's slowly going away and it seems as if Ronaldo is carrying the team and they are not helping him. Yep! That's where it all starts.
Juventus had a very good chemistry, I've seen that last season when they [without Dybala] took on Real Madrid and managed 3 goals. This Juve team is gonna transform into Cris FC. You heard it here first.
