Germany was re-elected as the host of a European football party for 2024, having previously hosted the European Cup in 1988. Besides hosting the European Cup, Germany also twice hosted the World Cup in 1974 and in 2006.

UEFA President Alexander Ceferin said there were two major countries that offered to host the European Cup for this time, but unfortunately, just one of them was legally chosen. That is the right decision made in a democratic and transparent way.

The European Cup will be held in June to July 2024 and will be followed by 24 teams in 51 games and 32 days of the European prestigious event. And the final reportedly will be at the Olympiastadion, Berlin, Germany city center. Meanwhile, other matches will be held in nine other stadiums such as those in the city, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Cologne, Dortmund, Stuttgart, Munich and Leipzig.

As information previously circulated, Turkey and Germany won the hosts for the European Cup in 2024, but in its election in Nyon, Switzerland this afternoon, UEFA announced that Germany was chosen to host the upcoming 2024 European Cup.

The decision was chosen by UEFA because it considered some infrastructure that was not sufficient enough, such as airports, lodging houses, train lines and stadiums located there. In contrast, Germany is better prepared and has a lot of infrastructure that is more feasible and of international standard quality.

In the election process, Germany was able to defeat Turkey with 12 votes from a total of 17 UEFA committee members present today, while Turkey itself only received 4 votes and 1 vote was considered corrupt or invalid. []
