Liverpool's Dutch defender Virgil Van Dijk is reportedly still recovering from a serious injury, which occurred in Liverpool vs. Southampton a few weeks ago. As a result, most likely in the Liverpool duel to visit Chelsea this weekend Van Dijk is likely to be absent again.

In the match with Southampton last week, Van Dijk suffered an injury to his ribs. So, in the 52nd minute he was forced to resign and was unable to finish the match.

As a result of injuries to his ribs, Van Dijk was forced to miss a duel with Chelsea in the English League Cup on Thursday which caused Liverpool to lose 1-2 for Chelsea. In the match, Van Dijk's position was replaced by Dejan Lovren who duet with Joel Matip.

On 09/29/2018, Liverpool will visit Chealsea at the premiere of the seventh week of the league. Confirmed Juergen Klopp said he could not confirm whether Van Dijk would be able to play or not in the deadly match, because until now his condition had not fully recovered.

Juergen Klopp said their team would wait until Van Dijk was completely healed. In the training session, Van Dijk was not there. And in the match against chealsea later, he will play if he can play, and vice versa if he hasn't fully recovered, chances are Kloopp will not take on his role.
