English Premier League will be entering ninth week this Saturday and there are many things that the football fans are looking up to, one would be how the biggest club of all time Manchester United will perform in the coming game week. Last week was full of action and drama. Manchester United only just got over the line against Newcastle United in what could turn out as the much-needed change for the team and Mourinho. Arsenal is looking in a good shape and the game against Fulham clearly showed us how they are dominating most of the opponents easily, all they need now is to be consistent. Last week did end with a draw between Manchester City and Liverpool, something which was not expected. Manchester City and Liverpool will continue to be the favourites of this year's title along with Chelsea.
Before we talk about the game between Manchester United and Chelsea this Saturday, let's check out the winners of the last two contests.
Contest #17 - Brighton v/s West Ham
I don't think any of us expected Brighton to win this game after seeing how West Ham had been recovering and playing better from a few weeks. Brighton took away the game by one goal to nil. None of the predictions could match the score of the game and this is the reason we have no winner for this contest.
Contest #18 - Liverpool v/s Manchester City
A goalless draw between the two favourites of the tournament is not something we can predict easily but one of our mates has been able to pull it off. @voiceoff was the only one who could predict the right score of the game.

Coming back to the opening game of the week this Saturday, Manchester United will be facing the in-form team, Chelsea. We all have been aware of the fact that Manchester United has been struggling this season and Mourinho has not been able to make an impact so far. We did see them play last week against Newcastle United where Manchester United was down by two goals but some good changes from the Manager initiated a change which resulted in a comeback. Manchester United won the game by scoring three crucial goals in the later period of the game. We can expect some key changes against Chelsea but only time will tell if that will work for the side which has not been able to do much so far even against the easier opponents.
Head-to-Head
The above-shown figures explain how the teams have been neck to neck in the previous encounters with Chelsea leading with a few more wins. The number of draws between the two sides is a big number but the current performance level of Manchester United won't suggest anything in their favour. These stats won't be of any help until Mourinho finds answers to the loopholes which are letting down the team.
Chelsea Chances
Their draw against West Ham came as a surprise to many of their fans but their overall performance in the league so far is keeping them alive in the race of winning the title this year. With six wins and only two draws so far, Chelsea is positioned at number two spot in the league table with 20 points which are equal to the table leader's Manchester City and Liverpool. The biggest advantage that this team has had over the years is the strong line of defence and midfield. They hardly allow the other team to operate in their half and that's why they have been successful. Eden Hazard is the best player in the league this year and his performance for Chelsea has been tremendous. He has scored seven goals in the season so far and is really a threat to any team in the tournament. He along with Pedro, Olivier Giroud, Marcus Alonso are doing a fine job for the team and I really think that the game against Manchester United will be an easy one for them unless Mourinho comes up with something new and we know how he has the habit of surprising the world of football.
Manchester United Chances
Manchester United has struggled this season in almost all the areas, I remember how Lukaku has missed some big chances which could have changed the game in their favour. Paul Pogba is one of the biggest names in the football era nowadays but even his performance this year has not been impressive. Alexis Sanchez has not been able to get some results for the team. The defence of the team has been in shambles with De Gea being the only hope most of the times. It is time Mourinho considers resting a few players and tries something new, he did show us the glimpses of that in the last game which they managed to win somehow in the latter half of the game. In order to increase the chances against Chelsea some important changes are needed, they will need to stop Hazard and company and if they do it they may stand a chance at Stamford Bridge otherwise I am all in for Chelsea.
