We have come a long way in this year's season of English Premier League and as the league table suggests there are teams who have been doing a fine job to stay in the top six teams of the year, AFC Bournemouth has been that one team that has fought well even against some bigger teams to make it to the number six spot. They have set aside sides like Manchester United, Everton and Watford to take that important position in the table and now all they need is to score points against the top five teams of the league to maintain their amazing run in the league so far. This Sunday, Bournemouth FC will be facing Arsenal in an all-important game for both the sides. Both the teams have produced poor results in their recent fixtures with Bournemouth losing last two games against Newcastle United and Manchester United and their opponents this Sunday Arsenal has only managed to settle down to three draws in their last three fixtures.
Recent Fixtures
Arsenal has been a package full of surprises this year, with some new additions to the team they have played good football under a new leader but what has been surprising is the fact that they have failed to pick up some easy points in two of their last three fixtures. They have lost their number fourth spot to Spurs and they will certainly want to end that three-match endless streak this Sunday when they face Bournemouth, a team which has made lives of teams around them much more difficult than it would have been expected. Bournemouth may have disappointed their fans in the last game against Newcastle but it has to be said that it is this year the team has looked in shape to beat any team on its day.
AFC Bournemouth Chances
Bournemouth has been in a good form this season with some big wins added to their name already and the league leaderboard clearly hints at their impressive run this year. Injuries have kept some key players out of the playing eleven for half the season already but this has not reflected on their performance in the league. The biggest star of the team this year has been Callum Wilson as his form has been the real difference between this team and many other teams trying to take that wide open number six spot in the league. Wilson has already scored six times in the league so far with important goals in big games with fabulous support from Ryan Fraser throughout the season so far. Big news for the team will be the return of Joshua King to the squad. He has been their important player of the team and with his return, they will get that extra power to take down Gunners on Sunday in their home game.
Arsenal Chances
Arsenal has been a big team in the football world for a long time now, they have consistently made it to the top five teams of the Premier League almost every season but it seems to me that the team is stuck right there and the dream to someday win the title is still too far. All of the fans including me expected them to do more in their last three games but the result has been disappointing and if they really continue to play like that they can even lose their fifth spot to some team with more wins in future and who knows it could be Bournemouth as they have the closest chance of taking it. Arsenal is scoring goals and they will do that again when they play Bournemouth on Sunday but they need to hold that defence line together if they want to end that winless streak against Bournemouth. I will be putting my money on Arsenal this time and I expect this game to be a close one with at least three goals.
