Hello Scorumians and welcome to another English Premier League contest. Premier League is promising us more action and entertainment as the fight for the top spot is just starting to begin and it will be interesting to see who will eventually come out as the best team of the league. Meanwhile, It does seem like the stats will remain unchanged for this week as the two top teams i.e, Manchester City and Liverpool go against easier opponents like Crystal Palace and Wolves but we are very well aware of the fact that no team can be written off from the game of football as long as they are not actually defeated on the ground. Today's contest will be featuring Manchester City and Crystal Palace as they go on to face each other on Saturday. Before we talk about the game let us announce the winners of the previous contest.

Let's now come back to the game that will be played between Manchester City and Crystal Palace on Saturday. Manchester City is the strongest squad that we have in the league presently and to beat them is tough for any team. Chelsea win was a tough outing for the City but they seem to have overcome that loss and we clearly saw the glimpses of a better Manchester City against Everton. Crystal Palace, on the other hand, produced an outstanding result against Leicester City in their last fixture. The defence of Crystal Palace has been impressive but to hold Manchester City is a little too hard sometimes but who knows what actually is going to happen.

Recent Meetings

Take a look at the recent meetings of the two teams and it will be easy to understand how Manchester City has been scoring way too many goals against Crystal Palace. We can expect a similar one-sided game between the two but like I mentioned Crystal Palace has been better in many ways this year and their defence has been impressing me too so I don't see as many as five goals coming from the City side. The game will be played at Etihad Stadium and Manchester City will be aiming for easy three points on offer.

Crystal Palace Chances

Crystal Palace will be happy with their previous result against Leicester City thanks to that breathtaking strike from Luka Milivojevic. The team is in need of more wins and goals from player of such calibre helps the team to achieve the smaller objectives effectively. Crystal Palace is currently at the fifteenth spot in the league table and this week's outing can prove a real tough one for this team. At the highest level of football, we will expect Crystal Palace to put up a tough competition for the opponents but that will only be possible when they curtail the movements and the chances that are created by Manchester City. Manchester City may be playing without Sergio Aguero but they have enough power in the squad to take them through. Crystal Palace should focus on playing their best game on Saturday and hope for positive results, a draw will be a good result for them too.

Manchester City Chances

Manchester City will need to work harder this year for the title after they lost their top spot to Liverpool recently. The fight between the two teams is keeping us on our feet but the real test for the two top teams will be producing consistent results against the teams in the lower half of the league table. It is easy to expect them defeating every team in their way to the title but the results will only be counted when they do it time and again on the ground. Manchester City has been playing very well and the ease with which they have been scoring goals has been extraordinary and it will interesting to see if Crystal Palace will be able to break that momentum. Manchester City is expected to play without Sergio Aguero and Benjamin Mendy but the job has been very well managed by Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and to stop them will be a tough task ahead of the Crystal Palace. Kevin De Bruyne was allowed to play some minutes against Everton which is a good sign too for the team. I will be expecting Manchester City to score at least 2 to 3 goals on Saturday but you can tell me about your predictions below in the comment section.
