Defending champions Galatasaray will also finish the ninth matchday of the Süper Lig as the front runner. Nevertheless, the Turkish champions were unable to go beyond a 1-1 draw against Bursaspor at home.

On the ninth matchday of the Spor Toto Süper Lig the reigning champions Galatasaray and Bursaspor separated in Istanbul 1:1 draw. Galatasaray lost two points in the title race due to the draw, but coach Fatih Terim's team finished the matchday with 19 points. The yellow-red team are four points ahead of the competition and can't be pushed out of the sun this weekend. Bursaspor now has nine points due to the away point and is still in the lower half of the table.

The last master Galatasaray went through a very unfortunate first half of the game. Three players had to be replaced in the first 45 minutes due to injury. After Serdar Aziz (20.) and Sofiane Feghouli (21.) had to leave the field within 60 seconds, Fernando Reges (42.) could not continue the game and was replaced by Selcuk Inan. Aytac Kara (44) had the best chance of the match shortly before the half-time break.
