Already at the beginning of the season the Galatasaray board wanted to transfer an attacker after the departure of Bafetimbi Gomis. Despite the promises made to coach Fatih Terim to sell Gomis, Mustafa Cengiz's and Abdurrahim Albayrak's club leadership failed to find an adequate replacement. The Yellow Reds are therefore still angry at the board, believing that a good striker would have made it through the UEFA Champions League group stage and bought the ticket to the round of 16. The "Imparator" wasn't too pleased with the president's action either, as not only he but also the fans had been promised in front of running cameras that they would fetch two strikers. For the winter transfer period the experts agree that the board would like to avoid a clinch with the fans.

Radamel Falcao - Championship instead of relegation?

Last week there were more rumours about a possible rental business with star striker Radamel Falcao from AS Monaco. Various advisors, who hold the rights of the Colombian national player in Turkey, had their say and heated up the rumour mill. The Goalgetter, who earns 15 million Euros annually in the Principality, is said to have decided to stay. In view of the difficult phase ahead for the relegation-threatened Monegasques, 32-year-old coach Thierry Henry seems unwilling to let go. However, an official confirmation from both sides is yet to be received. Rumour has it that Ligue 1's penultimate player will be Younes Belhanda, which could turn into a barter deal. Fatih Terim, on the other hand, are not expected to allow the creative midfielder to leave.

Demba Ba or Alan Carvalho? - Galatasaray on the lookout for strikers in China

Guangzhou Evergrande striker Alan Carvalho is also increasingly associated with the record champion. Many gazettes in Turkey had already reported the transfer as fixed, as the Brazilian's contract with the Chinese would supposedly have expired at the beginning of the year. But in the end this is not the truth. Galatasaray had already reached an agreement with the player himself in advance, but had not made any precise enquiries about the contract period of the wished striker, so that a final agreement had not yet been reached. The China club is therefore expecting a replacement for the attacking man who came from Red Bull Salzburg at the time for eleven million euros. Which again does not meet the expectations of the yellow-red team. It would be possible, however, that Carvalho would agree with his employer to terminate the contract prematurely. According to reports, the ex-Salzburger would earn 16.5 million euros (including 2.5 million euros in hand money) in a total of 3.5 years. However, instead of Alan, a former Besiktas professional could also come from China: Demba Ba. The Senegalese is said to have promised a six-month deal in which the "lions" would pay two million euros of his actual salary at Shanghai Shenhua. In China, the 33-year-old earns eight million euros a year.

The list of defending champions also includes names such as Fernando Llorente, Evgen Seleznyov, Divock Origi and Adam Szalai. The latter has already been associated in the German press with a change to the Bosporus. The captain of the Hungarian national team is demanding an annual net income of three million euros. Eren Derdiyok's personal skills are also important here. Only if the Swiss player leaves is it possible to hire two attackers. Otherwise Fatih Terim would have to be satisfied with just one new offensive force.
