PLEASE ALERT YOUR FRIENDS FROM ALL OVER SCORUM,LET'S UPVOTE MASSIVELY HERE FOR LIFE.

Hello all, it is not news to keen football followers that Brentford City signed Christian Eriksen this January on a 6 month loan deal on deadline day. Infact my newsdesk gave an early gist on this– https://scorum.com/en-us/football/@ogeewitty/eriksen-is-back

Since his signing, Eriksen has been kept behind closed doors, with Brentford City looking to ascertain his match readiness. It has been one friendly game after another with the reserve side(two actually) plus other training to regain match fitness. He has gone on to excel in these tune up matches, with three assists and the big thing is set to happen.

It's Newcastle vs Brentford City tomorrow Saturday 26th February,2022, and Head coach, Thomas Frank, has confirmed that Christian will be fielded for that match. This will be his first competitive game exactly 257 days after that almost fatal cardiac arrest at the last Euros, or you can say,his first competitive match in nearly a year. This is some news! Hey you've got to vote this.

It can be recalled that he had a heart monitoring implant fixed in him which was not allowable by Serie A rules, so had to leave Inter Milan in search of a new employer; Brentford City obliged ,as the EPL has no such inhibition.

In his press conference preparatory for this, now famous looking, match coming up against Newcastle United, the coach termed this occasion a "big day" for Christian, a "big day" for his family too. I will add that it's momentous day for football. The coach categorically said Christian will get some playing time tomorrow. Though with the press itching to hear more, he smiled but didn’t supply information on whether Christian will start or come in from the bench.

He further stated how that for those in the sport called, football who know what happened 257 days ago, this will be a stark reminder of how privileged one is to be in this sport and as such be grateful day by day for being alive. It's no news that Eriksen died for a while(you can check out my post through the link in the first paragraph).

It's going to be a tough, tough encounter against a Newcastle team who are firmly in a relegation dog fight. Even Brentford are not safe yet. The 30-year-old Christian Eriksen a former Tottenham star, is no stranger to crucial matches of this magnitude.

After initially thinking of retiring from football, after the tragic incident, he gained a new belief and made a u-turn and began his journey back first by training with Danish club Odense Boldklub then Swiss third-tier cub FC Chiasso, and then Ajax's reserves. These beginnings have brought him where he is today and single minded goal is the World Cup, he wants to play in that World Cup in November this year. He wants to don the shirt of Denmark again. So he craves matches, in order to be considered for the Danish team before the tournament holding in Qatar. Well it's compulsory for every player at the World Cup to get a heart screening. Hopefully he scales through.

Meanwhile let's focus on the present, it's big news, not just for football, not even just for sports, it's a big news for all of life. The Almighty God be praised and gratitude to all others who have helped– from Danish teammates that very 257 days ago,to medical experts ,to his family and many more world over. This is like a fairy tale ending to a seemingly initially ugly looking story.

So we can say THE SECOND COMING OF CHRISTen.

Cheers
