Arteta confirms Kieran Tierney could be out for a month, after receiving a knock on his knee against Jurgen Klopps Liverpool side

Scares have arose in the Arsenal camp, after major defensive talisman Kieran Tierney, has been ruled out for a month by medics.

This is a major blow for manager Mikel Arteta, as he has relied so much on the attacking prowess of Tierney.

Injury blow at the oddest of times for Arsenal

Tierney’s injury comes as a huge setback for the Arsenal side.

Just a couple of days ago, Brazilian center back David Luiz, also suffered from a similar injury. He has been also sidelined for about a month as well.

Injuries to Tierney and Luiz will definitely affect the defensive stability of the Arsenal side, as both players have served graciously under manager Mikel Arteta.

Kieran Tierney’s Injury description

Tierney was having quite an eventful game against Liverpool, before his unfortunate clash with James Milner.

The collision with Milner, had Tierney withdrawn some moments before the half-time break. With recent reports suggesting he could be out for a month.

Horrific injury timing for the Gunners

Arsenal currently sit nine points behind the top four spot, with less than 10 games to go. These injury woes could not have come at a worse time.

However, they have got a little matter of Slavia Prague in quarters of the Europa League. Arteta would definitely be poised to wrap that one up.

Conclusion

The Europa League is looking like Arsenal’s only source of Champions League football next season. In line with that, Arteta would be expected to look beyond the current injury woes and urge on his lads.
