At the threshold of Project Restart: Premier League stars still not convinced of safety

Premier League's Project restart plans is obviously at it’s threshold. Yet, so players still express concerns over safety and it’s related issues.

This concerns are well-founded, as it is no news the covid-19 pandemic still has a command in England.

Players apprehensive over league restart

In a meeting held on Wednesday, top Premier League teams voted jointly for contact training resumption. However, that was not really the case for BAME players.

BAME is a word, used to describe Londoners who are not of the bonafide white class.

Based on stats, it has be evaluated that white people have a greater chance of overcoming the virus than blacks.

Bearing this information in mind, the BAME players have expressed severe dissatisfaction over Project Restart and it’s hazards.

Line of thought for BAME players

Amid the seeming Project Restart kick-off, Premier League BAME players have asserted a particular line of thought.

The idea of BAME players, was communicated through ex English international Joleon Lescott.

In his statement, Lescott indicated that BAME players, would want the Premier League management to accept liabilities if they contracted the virus.

In a further statement, he finalized by explaining that the league management accepting responsibility for players, is an obvious sign of a clear-coast for Project Restart.

Two major stars making the headlines

According to recent reports, Chelsea's mojo midfield dynamo Ngolo Kante and Watford's Troy Deeney have both spoken against Project restart proposals.

Both players, chose not to not to resume contact training due to skepticisms over safety.

Kante has maintained an impeccable reputation while playing for the blues.

In other to retain an already impeccable status, the Frenchman made a call to Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and communicated his skepticism.

On his part, Frank Lampard has stated that Kante would be permitted to resume whenever he dimmed safe enough.

Watford also face same attitude from striker Troy Deeney.

Conclusion

Although, BAME players have refused to begin contact training. The Premier League have stated this stance is not set to affect the Project Restart schedule.
