The level of racism in football has constantly risen at an alarming rate. So far, little or nothing has been done to tame it, thereby emboldening those responsible for the act.

Thierry Henry's stand

It is obvious that the top football organisations, have failed to take strong actions against racist. With that in mind, Thierry Henry has made public his next line of action.

In his most recent post, Henry pledged to quit all social media platforms, until drastic actions are taken against racist.

Moving on, Henry made it clear that he would not be back unless visible efforts against the individuals responsible are taken.

Reactions from those at the helm of social media affairs

The secretary of state for media and sports, Oliver Dowden has openly acknowledged Thierry Henry's declarations.

In his view, he made it clear that racism on social media and anywhere else is uncalled for.

Moving on, he also stated that measures will be installed, to curb individuals responsible for the act.

Whether his statements are valid or not, we wait to see.

Footballers who have been subjected to racist abuse

Fred: After his mistake against Leicester City, the Manchester United midfielder was openly abused on social media. A user even referred to him as a monkey.

The likes of Rashford, Martial and Tuanzebe are a few Man-United players who have also faced similar racist fallouts.

Conclusion

In summary, the positive view about all humans be it white or black is this. We are all one, from one origin. Segregation based on skin colour is completely preposterous.
