New Signings Timo Werner and Hakim Zyiech

Chelsea is currently enjoying the best transfer window in Premier League history. As it stands, club owner Roman Abramovich has released funds worth $231million on new signing.

Chelsea pounced on the greatest undoing of other Premier League sides

The Covid-19 pandemic has served as a major undoing to many Premier League sides. With lots of revenues to be attained from fans now out of reach, most teams are left with little or no funds for new signings.

On the part of the London Blues, the Fifa ban on their player transfers last season happened to be God-sent. Having not made any signatures under new head coach Frank Lampard, finances have been saved up.

These finances are to be used on Frank Lampard’s second season in charge.

Players already signed

Chelsea has completed the signings of four top-quality players. Making the list is the German Timo Werner, Moroccan Harkim Zyiech, England’s Ben Chiwell and Brazil’s Center half Thiago Sliva.

Without a doubt, these are quality signings and could add lots of fire-power to the Chelsea side.

Balancing up - An issue?

With the signatures already made by the Blues, questions on squad balancing have been raised. However, this should not be an issue, as Chelsea have proven squad balancing has never been a cause for concern.

The blues have succeeded in letting their stars go for good money as well. The likes of Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard and Diego Costa are good examples of how Chelsea let players go for good money.

Players up for sale at Chelsea

From recent reports, Chelsea are willing to let go of the likes of Ross Barkley, Tiemeoune Bakayoko, Emerson and Michy Batsuayi.

Conclusion

From the current point of the Frank Lampard led side, it can only be a win, win, win situation. As everything seems to be working according to plan.
