Norwegian youngster Erling Haaland 19, has gradually metamorphosed into one of Europe’s magnificent goal-scoring machines. While at his previous club Red Bull Salzburg, the Norwegian scored 20goals in 13 appearances, before making a move to German topflight Borussia Dortmund were he has continued with his fine form.

Haaland had been heavily linked with a move to Man-United, before making his surprising move to the Signal Iduna Park. However, despite not completing a move to United, Haaland has not failed to give kudos to current Man-United boss over the role he played in his development.

Speaking to Eurosport, Haaland made mention of a game for Molde against Norwegian arch-rivals Brann who had a ruthless defence on the day. Nonetheless, Haaland eventually manages to get four goals in the opening 25minutes. All thanks to drillings from Ole.

Quoting him he says “Before the game, Solskjaer and I did some practice on finishing. Not just crosses, I remembered he taught me some easy rules… he has taught me a lot to be calm, and to be on your toes and come to those situations where the ball is coming. It is then you have the chance to score.” He went on to say “He deserves a lot of credit for teaching me that”.

Haaland began his career at a club in his hometown, before being signed by Molde in 2017. He had a poor show during his first season, scoring just four goals in 20 appearances. Nonetheless, the poor showing didn’t let the youngsters head drop. He upped his game the following season, finishing with 16goals from 30appearances. A display that earned him a worthy move to Salzburg Austria where his career took aviation. In Salzburg Haaland hit 29goals in barely 27 appearances. A performance that got the attention of European giants, the likes of Real Madrid and United looked to be of particular interest.

The player, however, opted for a move to Borussia Dortmund where he looks to be having a good season. Although having been eliminated from the Champions League by a Neymar drove Paris Saint Germain side just before the COVID-19 break, Haaland has hit an impressive 39goals in 29appearances and has affirmed he is having a good time at Dortmund.
