Manchester United manager Ralf Ragnick has come out to pledge his support for defender Harry Maguire. From his statement, he highlighted that dropping the captain would mean succumbing to the pressure of fans.
Ragnick insisted that he would rather focus on ways to improve Maguire's output. Until he dims it fit so drop the centre-back.
Statement from fans
The English defender has come under extreme attention by fans at Old Trafford. This is because his performance has been far from average.
Particularly considering how much he was bought, fans believe it has been an utter waste by the club management.
Moving on, they believe Maguire should be ripped off the captain's armband, and dropped from the starting XI. While the manager should make it a point of duty to play the likes of Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof more often.
Ragnick backs Maguire
From his statement, the German tactician has not seen a need to get rid of Maguire. He blamed the English man's poor form on the injury he received a few weeks ago.
Moving on, Ragnick insisted that players have their good and bad times. Highlighting that this is probably, Maguire's bad time.
Conclusion
No doubt, the performances of Harry have been far below par. Especially bearing in mind he is the captain of the team. Nonetheless, the manager believes more support for the English man is all he needs.
