It is interesting to know that Tottenham executives have finally released some funds for player signatures.

According to the news, the Antonio Conte-led side submitted a new bid for Wolves macho winger Adama Traore. An initial bid of 15 million euros was rejected by the Wolves side. Hence, Tottenham had to approach with a newer deal.

The idea of Wolves

Before the exit of manager Nuno Espirito Santos, Wolves had hoped that Adama Traore would remain at the club. However, the winger has insisted he would now be looking at a future elsewhere.

The Spaniard's current contract runs until sometime in 2023. Nonetheless, he does not look like he is interested in seeing out the contract.

Spurs have submitted a second offer of about 20 million for the winger, and would now be waiting for a reply from the Molineux side.

The Antonio Conte master plan

Antonio Conte seems to be deploying another strategy from what we popularly know. More often than not, we see managers both in Spain and Wolves play Adama Traore as a winger.

However, Conte seems to be deploying another option. He would be looking to play Traore as a wing-back.

Conclusion

Considering how pacey and physically strong Traore is, deploying him as a wing-back seems like an interesting option.

Provided Tottenham can seal this deal. It would be great to watch out on how Traore adapts to an unpopular position.
